Continues in 2025
SYO was awarded Town of Culture funding in 2023-24 to write and deliver a songbook with Stockport Primary Schools. We are delighted to receive UK Shared Prosperity Funding from Greater Manchester Combined Authority to expand and continue this project in 2024-5.The songbook contains songs about Stockport's places, people and history, designed with percussive elements for KS2 children. The project delivery for this year begins in January 2025 with a series of workshop programmes and cultimates with performance events in March 2025.
